So my old Asus Laptop was fine. But since I bought a iMac some while ago, I wanted to get a Macbook or a Macbook Pro to just have one operating system (~~and because I hate windows~~). Anyway, I got a Macbook Air instead. And I'm impressed. Small, long lasting battery and a very good overall performance. We will see how it will hold up. But I'm happy so far.

Had to install a HP server today for a customer. These things are so flat these days! Impressive too.

And some gifs like I promised.

Well I stumbled over those cinemagraphs, where only a certain part of an image is animated. ANd I tried it out. Here is my first result.
Really nice technique! I will check for more footage and make a few other ones.

Mac, Vinyl and memories

Weekend round up. A friend of mine gave me his old Mac SE 1/20. Still works. But I will leave it on the shelf and let time for some retirement.

And I got a new turntable. The old one broke, so it was time for a "new" one. Got this Dual CS455. Sick black/gold design. Made my day!

I was visiting my grandmothers place. She showed me some very old pictures. Also gave me some as a gift. I`m going to held these forever. So proud.
Most of them are around 1914 till 1940. So stoked. Here are three scans. Enjoy

New Business Punk (peep the nice BMW add which goes around the magazine), Kinki mag, Intersection, Lodown and the new Rolling Stone which included a really nice Pink Floyd comic, nice!!! Bought the new Justice album. Get it, its awesome! (This isnt a option btw). I also got the Frank Zappa LP I´ve searched for so long!

Turn iTunes Cards into ashtrays!

So a little while ago, I discovered that iTunes / App Cards are made out of plastic which can be transfromed when warm and will "freeze" when getting cold again. So I had this idea of turning them into ashtrays.
Here is a little tutorial video. With some more effort you`ll get better results, but I wanted to keep the video as short as possible. Enjoy!
